A vintage ceramic bank inspired by the Disney Studios animated film "Lady and the Tramp" (1955). Featuring the elegant Lady, the bank was manufactured by San Dimas based ceramist Hagen Renaker, and designed by sculptor Don Winton. Hagen Renaker was licensed to produce Disney ceramics for only a short time during the late 1950s, and according to Walt Disney, they produced "the finest three-dimensional reproductions of (the animated) drawings that he ever saw." Measuring 5.5"x6" and 3" tall, the bank is in very good condition with imperfections in the glaze and crazing due to age.
